Together We Ride

Mike Thurgood, Together We Ride’s Founder, saw the huge growth and demand for click and collect ordering in the UK. A passionate cyclist, he praised the efforts of smaller, independent cycling shops. The customer service, advice and knowledge of smaller specialist retailers far outweighs those of the larger industry leaders. Establishing Together We Ride was a way of allowing these smaller retailers to have an online presence and compete in the market.

Customers can browse and purchase their product online, and choose from one of their growing network of independent partner shops to collect. It’s convenient and enables cycling enthusiasts the opportunity to support their local shop, accessing unrivalled, passionate customer service by the specialists. We were tasked with delivering the brand’s visual identity and website design.

Together We Ride is all about bringing together a community of cyclists and changing the way they shop online. It was important that the brand’s visual identity connected to the different types of cyclists, speaking to their lifestyle, while emulating this with the mission that Together We Ride set out to achieve.

The identity and website design was driven by a ‘free, limitless and unified’ line of thought. These words represent bikers and cyclists nationwide and further supports the meaning behind the ‘Together We Ride’ name. It’s supporting an ‘all in it together’ approach – allowing independent retailers to have a place in the online market and inspiring a sense of social responsibility in customers by buying from those that truly care about the sport and lifestyle.

A simple colour palette and a bold logotype, featuring a ‘last piece of the puzzle’ graphical device is supported by carefully selected imagery. Any keen cyclist would likely be offended if we placed them all in one ‘camp’. Yet, the resulting brand identity and imagery perfectly represents mountain bikers, commuters, ‘roadies’ and ‘fixies’, all looking for a seamless online buying experience. Designed and built responsively, the Together We Ride website has an ecommerce platform and a brand that can grow with the community of customers and retailers.
